Jaime is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of For Goodness Cakes. Her favorite cookbooks include Alice Water’s The Art of Simple Food and Donia Bijan’s Maman’s Homesick Pie: A Persian Heart in an American Kitchen, both of whose authors helped to inspire a deep love of cooking for others.

Amy has over 15 years of instructional design experience. She has designed learning programs for the public education sector, business sector, and non-profit sector. She obtained her Masters Degree in Instructional Technology and Media Management through an accredited program at The State University of New York at Potsdam, NY. Amy designs for all learning situations, including e-learning, blended learning, webinars, and on-site face-to-face learning.
Some of the business organizations she has worked with include Capital One, Walmart Labs, WPP, MediaMath, MicroSoft, and IHG to name a few. She has been a panel speaker for the Chief Learning Officers breakfast club, ran a small meet-up for learning designers in New York City, and most recently participated in a cohort looking for ways to leverage xAPI data protocols in learning design and helped launch NLI and Salience Learning’s first digital learning platform and learning programs.

I have a passion for baking and inherited a love of celebrating with sweets from my mom who always made birthdays and holidays very special. If I'm not in the kitchen, I'm usually reading cookbooks or planning a party. When I learned about For Goodness Cake's mission, I knew I had to get involved, helping to make sure kids were celebrated on their special days, just like my mom always did for us. I've been a volunteer baker, chapter lead, and now I'm happy to be spreading the love to our Sprinkle Squad so they know how grateful we are for their support!

Ohh, what a joy and an honor to be the LA County Chapter Lead!! I was born a maker and giver, learning from the apron strings of my talented mother- baking, cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, planting, crafting. My favorite things in the whole world to do are to create something with my hands and heart, gift it to someone I care about whether I know them personally or not and to uplift people around me so they see the incredible light they offer. Being part of the Sprinkle Squad allows me to do all those things and more! I'm so blessed! To work side by side with all the amazing leaders and sprinklers in the organization and the incredible individuals within the organizations of our partners and supporters, I witness the most beautiful, heart filled energy making the world a better place for everyone but specifically for the most precious and special kids and young adults that need love and compassion the most.
I have always believed that helping others has allowed them to be seen, acknowledged and celebrated for exactly who they are, and that is truly magical and important! It has also left a monumental imprint on my heart, too, validating how good the world can be. I feel it in every mindful moment. It takes a village to do what we do at For Goodness Cakes and our village continues to grow sweeter and sweeter. I am forever grateful for the connections made each and every day through cake batter, frosting and tons of sprinkles. My heart overflows with goodness because of this wonderful family, our For Goodness Cakes family!

I wanted to start my chapter because I greatly enjoy baking, volunteering and serving children, and For Goodness Cakes incorporates all 3. Volunteering also warms and satisfies my soul, it gives me a purpose and I find it very rewarding. I believe every child and youth deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated with a special cake, made especially for them, for their birthday or special occasion, and I want to help make that happen in my community. In addition, these special cakes made by our thoughtful volunteers will make such a great impact on the children and youth receiving them. Having a chapter of For Goodness Cakes in San Bernardino County will create so many smiles and memorable moments for our children and youth, and volunteers alike. Let's bake and create some smiles!!

Hello, I’m Laurie!
Although I am a lifelong baker, it wasn’t until my three boys were born that I developed a
love of baking fun and unique birthday cakes. Now that they are all grown up, and having
recently retiring from the corporate life, I was excited to find For Goodness Cakes and
bring smiles to more kids! Having started as a volunteer baker, I am super excited to have now been given the opportunity to support an amazing group of volunteers in Orange County. I look forward to delivering more positive experiences for these at-risk kids, one baked goodie at a time!

Hi, I’m Amy! I grew up in the Cambridge-Isanti area, and moved far far away, and then found my way back in 2012. I spend most of my time hobby baking, traveling, hiking, or finding a great restaurant to enjoy. I first joined For Goodness Cakes as a hobby baker to create fun cakes. After a short while of baking, and only a few bakes under my belt, I felt called to open a Chapter to include more agencies that were out of reach of the Twin Cities Chapter. The mission of For Goodness Cakes touches my heartstrings. I’m so excited for this new Chapter to open and to help expand this program so each child can experience the joy of receiving a cake made especially for them.

I'm a lover of birthdays and any excuse to celebrate fantastic human beings. In addition, I am a mom to three adventurous boys, a social worker, dog lover and wife to the most supportive husband.
As a child, birthdays in our household were hugely important. They were a day in which your specialness was celebrated by all. It was a day to celebrate that the world was uniquely brighter because of your presence in it.
I wanted to start a FGC chapter because I believe that no matter who you are, where you're from, how old you are, your background or history- all people (especially underprivileged youth) deserve this same type of validation. Validation that they are special and worthy of all love and celebration. I think there is much power in little acts done with great love.

Hello! I'm Brittany and I am a firm believer in eating dessert first. I've been in the kitchen whipping up goodies since I was a kid and never stopped. When I first learned about For Goodness Cakes, I immediately became obsessed with the whole mission — it's a wonderful way to give back and pass on the joy of a birthday cake to those who might not otherwise be celebrated. On the same day, I signed up to volunteer with my local Chapter and was on the fast track to baking my first cake. Soon after, I learned that my current chapter lead (Amanda) was on her way to becoming the East Coast Director and was currently looking for a new lead. I'm so happy to be here & be able to help spread love, joy, & frosting to foster and at-risk youth in my area! No one deserves to let a birthday pass without being celebrated.

I learned about For Goodness Cakes from an Instagram post and after reading about their mission I knew I had to join. I really wanted to volunteer with baking cakes for our local kids and youth, but there was no FGC Chapter in the area. So, here we are - just opened one in Naples, FL.

As a businessman, Tom saw an opportunity to use his success to give back and has made this objective a fundamental part of his company’s culture. A baker in a past life, Tom sees For Goodness Cakes as great opportunity to combine two of his passions and take part in a cause he believes in. As a mother of a child with severe food allergies, and home bakery owner I have experienced firsthand the joy and gratitude sparked by personalized treats for birthdays and important milestones. While searching for volunteer opportunities I serendipitously came across For Goodness Cakes and was immediately moved by their mission because the need wasn’t so obvious, but within my specialized skill set. And of course I jumped at the chance to become the Ventura Chapter Leader when asked because our little section of Southern CA jammed between LA and Santa Barbara often gets overlooked, but is in great need of child services. I am so proud to help open this non-profit in our community because every kid deserves a special treat and the chance to be celebrated and reminded of how lucky the world is just because they are a part of it.
